Finger Millet Porridge/Ragi Ambali




Ingredients:

Finger Millet/Ragi Powder 1 cup
Water 3-4 cups
Yogurt 1/4 cup
Salt
Asafoetida pinch

Method:

1. Take water in a vessel, add finger millet powder, salt and asafoetida. Mix well.

2. Cook the above mixture on medium heat and keep stirring continuously till the mixture thickens and gives a shiny texture. ( it takes 15-20 mins)

3. Switch off the stove. Add yogurt and mix well. Healthy Finger millet porridge is ready to serve.

Note: 1. If you want sweet porridge then follow the same procedure but add sugar or jaggery and skip adding yogurt.

2. Finger millet should be cooked properly otherwise it may cause constipation.
